After 20 years of admiring other people's work, Dwell submits a project of its own. Designed by Norm Architects, the Dwell House is a sleek 540-square-foot, one-bedroom accessory dwelling unit. The minimalist gabled volume features a cedar exterior with an aluminum roof, black Marvin windows, and custom lighting. It's completely built off-site by Abodu and arrives within six months, furnished with Bosch appliances, built-in units, engineered oak floors, and 12-foot folding glass doors that flood the interior with natural light. With more people working remotely, the Dwell House is the perfect backyard addition and versatile enough to function as a guesthouse, home office, pool house, or fitness studio.
