Earth 300 Research Superyacht
The ship's design is extraordinary. Its purpose even more so. The Earth 300 is a proposed vessel meant to serve as a floating science experiment. A 13-story sphere rises above the mostly flat aft deck, which also holds a helipad, while towards the bow lies a cantilevered Observation Deck. In all, it will offer 22 cutting-edge laboratories and play host to 160 of the world's leading scientists as it uses its emission-free, molten salt nuclear reactor to explore the world's oceans. It's set to measure nearly 1,000 feet long and almost 200 feet high and is scheduled to sail its maiden voyage in 2025.
