Elegend EL1 Coupe
Audi released the Quattro coupe in 1980 and revolutionized automobiles and the course of motorsport history. In just a few years, all-wheel-drive had become the standard in the World Rally Championship, and nearly every major manufacturer had an all-wheel-drive option in its lineup. German startup Elegend's EL1 coupe is a love letter to the Quattro powered by an 840 horsepower, three-motor electric drivetrain. All-wheel-drive is of course standard, with one motor driving the front wheels and two at the rear axle, giving the car an estimated 2.8 second 0-60 time. The EL1 has a carbon fiber monocoque, keeping the car down to a trim 3700 pounds with a range of 248 miles. Elegend will produce 30 EL1's, with a delivery date of early 2022.
