Ex-Le Mans McLaren F1 GTR Restoration

With only 106 McLaren F1s made, each one is a unique piece of automotive history. Designed to be the ultimate road car and incorporating everything McLaren had learned from its time in F1, the F1 also had a remarkably successful racing career. Of the 106 F1s produced, 64 were road cars and 28 were GTRs made specifically for racing. This 1998 GTR raced at Le Mans before being sold to a private collector. When the current owner bought the car, they commisioned a restoration, leading McLaren to create its certification program for the F1. McLaren used parts from sealed containers not opened since June of 1998, meaning that this F1 GTR is in the exact condition it left the factory. The car will debut in all its original glory at the 2018 Hampton Court Concours of Elegance.
