Classic Land Cruiser style without the 30-plus chassis and running gear — that's what Flex Ventures brings with its retrofitted Toyotas. Based in Japan, Flex Ventures is set to offer the 106 and the Wonder to the US market with a dealer based in San Diego. Those Land Cruiser-based SUVs will be sold alongside an in-development truck based on the Toyota Tacoma. The 106 is based on the J80-series Land Cruiser, built from 1990 to 1998, while the Wonder is based on the J100 platform that ran from 1999 to 2007. Flex also renovates the interior, adding modern conveniences like modern audio systems and updated seating. Flex's online builder lets potential customers build their own 106 or Wonder.
