Flite x Marc Newson Electric Hydrofoil

Australian surfer and industrial designer Marc Newson and fellow Aussie watersports company Flite have joined forces to release the world's lightest hydrofoil. Flite's hydrofoils combine a surfboard-like deck with a lower wing and battery-powered motor that rides under the water. Marc Newson's contribution is a mast that connects the two — a first for the design. Weighing 43 pounds, it's the world's lightest eFoil, thanks to Japanese high-modulus pre-peg carbon fiber construction and titanium inserts along the board and wing's leading edges.
