From Seamaster to Seamaster
The first Seamaster was introduced in 1948 as part of Omega's 100th-anniversary celebration. 70+ years and multiple iterations later, it's now the company's oldest model. From Seamaster to Seamaster explores the model's history, from its groundbreaking O-ring gasket — inspired by WWII submarines — to the Co-Axial movement and place on the wrist of modern-day James Bond. Alongside the text, including a foreword from Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, a series of full-bleed photos from French still-life specialist Philippe Lacombe bring the various references to life.
