Located on the Cornell Tech campus, the Graduate Roosevelt Island Hotel is the first hotel on the two-mile-long strip of land in New York City's East River. The property was designed by Snøhetta and features 224 rooms spanning 18 stories. Dubbed a scholastic retreat, guests are greeted by a 13-foot statue of artist Hebru Brantley's Flyboy before entering a lobby library comprised of 5,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. A combination of eclectic furniture and colorful artwork gives the space a smart, vibrant atmosphere that continues into the guest rooms, each with views over Manhattan and Queens.
