Gunther Werks GXR-Evo
Gunther Werks' fastest naturally aspirated car starts with a donor Porsche 993: a 2,386-pound carbon chassis, stripped to a naked 12k weave and 210 pounds lighter than the company's own Coupe. The engine is a 4.0-liter flat-six co-developed with Rothsport Racing, making 455 horsepower and revving to just under 9,000 rpm through a straight-pipe exhaust. Slide-valve throttle bodies replace conventional butterfly valves to clear the intake tract for sharper response, with power routed through a re-engineered Getrag G50 six-speed manual. The cockpit runs a carbon-Kevlar Racetech seat, six-point harness, eight-point cage, Motec digital display, helmet cooling system, and pneumatic air jacks. Each of the 15 builds includes a bespoke MYSIM racing simulator, hand-welded from aluminum, wrapped in carbon, and configured to the dynamics of that specific chassis.
