Hermes Arceau L'Heure de la Lune Watch

Typical moon phase complications get a slender window of a larger dial. Hermès' new Arceau L'Heure de la Lune turns this on its head, making the entire face a moon phase indicator. To do so, it places a depiction of the moon in the Southern Hemisphere at 12 o'clock and the Northern at 6 o'clock, with two dials, telling the time and date, floating above that reveal or hide the bodies as necessary, powered by a custom in-house movement. The 43mm case is rendered in white gold, with asymmetrical lugs that have been the Arceau's signature since its debut in 1978, and sits on a matte alligator strap in either graphite gray to match the meteorite dial or abyss blue to match the aventurine face. Limited to just 100 examples of each.
