Hyundai Santa Cruz Truck

Hyundai is betting that the trucklet — last seen in the US as the Subaru Baja — is an idea whose time has come again with the Santa Cruz. Based on the Tuscon SUV platform, the Santa Cruz comes with four doors and a four-foot bed, or six feet with the tailgate down. That's just enough for mountain bikes, camping equipment, or whatever gear one needs for a quick weekend getaway. A 2.5 liter four with either 190 naturally-aspirated or 275 turbocharged horsepower will be available, with both options driving all four wheels. The Santa Cruz can tow too, with capacity at 3,500 or 5,000 depending on motor choice. Scheduled to begin production in Montgomery, Alabama in June, the Santa Cruz will hit dealers in Fall 2021.
