Icon 1965 Jeep Cherokee Safe Flight SUV

Icon is now not just building custom vintage SUVs, it's also correcting historical inaccuracies with its latest one-off, a 1965 Jeep Cherokee. Founder Jonathan Ward set out to correct a few mistakes made by the original designers, consulting with tribal leaders to create a new theme based on traditional Cherokee patterns. Ward settled on an eagle feather pattern that symbolizes safe flight, found throughout the exterior and interior of the SUV. Along with the motif are Moore & Giles leather upholstery with Sheridan-style details in the seats and door trim. Under the hood is a Chrysler 6.4-liter HEMI V8 making 485 horsepower, mated to a GM automatic transmission and Atlas II transfer case.
