IWC Big Pilot's 140 Years Mercedes-Benz Watch

Mercedes-Benz traces its history back to 1886, when Carl Benz filed the patent for the first automobile, and IWC marks that anniversary with a Big Pilot's Watch limited to exactly 140 pieces, one for each year since. The sapphire caseback carries the first joint Daimler-Benz logo from 1926, the year the two companies merged. Inside is IWC's new Perpetual Calendar ProSet, the brand's first calendar complication that adjusts both forward and backward from a single crown position, with no pushers and no sequence to remember. The 42mm stainless steel case holds a black dial with solid gold hour markers and gold-plated hands, four subdials for date, month, day, and year, and IWC's Double Moon phase display, accurate to within one day every 1,040 years. It runs on IWC's in-house caliber 82655, LIGA-manufactured for its intricate gear geometry, with a 60-hour power reserve, on a black rubber strap that swaps out tool-free through the EasX-CHANGE system.
