Jeff Bridges' WideluxX Panoramic Camera

Actor and photographer Jeff Bridges resurrects the Widelux panoramic camera through a modern reinterpretation built in Germany. The WideluxX uses a swing-lens mechanism that rotates across the scene during exposure, capturing a 140-degree field of view on standard 35mm film in a single, continuous shot. Unlike stitched panoramas, the image forms as the lens sweeps, recording movement and time as they unfold across the 24×58mm frame. Manufactured by SilverBridges GmbH with modern precision components, the camera features a fixed 26mm f/2.8 lens, manual aperture control, and shutter speeds from 1/15 to 1/250 second. The fully mechanical design yields approximately 21 images per 36-exposure roll, with each frame preserving the analog character of the original F8 platform while incorporating serviceable parts and long-term repair support. Limited to 350 units in the first production run, deliveries are expected within six to eight months of pre-order.
