Jetoptera J-2000 Flying Car
The growing fleet of VTOL aircraft that are being dreamed up are already futuristic, but the J-2000 takes the forward-thinking one step further. The "flying car" ditches the competition's thrusters and propellors in favor of a Dyson-inspired bladeless propulsion system on the front and back. The "fluidic propulsion system" the craft relies on has hoops that act as thrusters to force air over the wing-shaped surface where it develops enough negative pressure to give it a lift. In addition to it lightening the load, Jetoptera says efficiency will improve by more than 10 percent while fuel consumption will be cut in half versus the consumption of a small turbojet.
