当初は欧州とアジア市場にのみの販売であったが、規制緩和に伴い1987年にはついにアメリカでも「911Flachbau」が製造されることになった。145台限定のターボには工場組み立てのフロントエンドを合わせ、よりレアなクルマとなった911。丁寧にメンテナンスされたこの911は走行距離がわずか3万7千キロで、1987年に届けられた証拠となる書類も付属されている。さらにこの911はディスプレイだけでなくもちろん公道を走行することもできる。
