その土地の形状にちなんでその名が付けられた、ポルトガルの沿岸に佇む「エリプティック・ハウス」。楕円形のカタチがコンテンポラリーなエクステリアを作り出し、この家に彫りの深さを与えている。カーブしたシルエットの特徴を活かして、この家のほぼ全ての部屋がオーシャンビューという贅沢さ。円形のモチーフは、家の形だけでなく、窓やリフレクティング・プール、ジャグジーバス、プールサイドテラスに適度な陽射しと日陰を与えてくれる屋根にくり抜かれた穴の形まで、建物のいたる所に使われている。
