Komos XO Tequila

Komos is already known for its high-end tequila. Now it's entering the ultra-premium market with its first single-batch expression, dubbed XO. It starts with agave hand-harvested from both the Highlands and Lowlands of Jalisco to make a more complex Blanco base. After distillation in traditional pot stills, it's aged in a mix of American oak bourbon barrels and French oak red and white wine barrels. The best barrels, aged a minimum of three years but up to 11 years, are selected for transfer to Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks for further aging before blending. The resulting spirit is both complex and approachable, with rich aromas of chocolate, toast, and smoke, flavors of dried fruits and agave, and a lengthy, layered finish. It comes bottled at a cask strength of 42% ABV in an etched crystal decanter marked Batch no.1 and is available by application only.
