Lamborghini LMDh Prototype Race Car

Unlike fellow Italian Enzo Ferrari, Ferruccio Lamborghini had no intentions of selling road cars to fund his racing obsession — simply competing with Ferrari by building some of the best road cars on the planet. Racing is the ultimate laboratory for performance, however, and Lamborghinis have found their way onto the track over the years. In 2024, Lamborghini will take its biggest step into racing with a works racing team competing in the LMDh class of the IMSA Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship. Lamborghini has developed the car's 681 horsepower twin-turbo V8 completely in-house, while Williams Advanced Engineering provides power management and storage for the hybrid system, which is supplied by Bosch Motorsport.
