Lamborghini SC63 Hybrid Racing Prototype
Unlike cross-country rivals Ferrari, Lamborghini has been famously uninterested in racing. But when you're owned by multiple Le Mans-winning Audi and parent company VOlkswagen Group, endurance racing makes a lot more sense. Lamborghini will be taking to the international endurance racing scene with the SC63. The SC63 will compete in the top-level LMDh category and begin competing in 2024 with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Lamborghini tapped Liger for the chassis, while the bodywork was penned by Lamborhgini's own stylists and boasts several Lamborghini styling cues, like Y-shaped LED light strips and rear brake lights. Power will come from a 3.8-liter V8 and hybrid system, making a total of 680 horsepower. Let's hope Lamborghini fares better in the FIA World Endurance Championship than it did in its F1 adventure in the early '90s.
