From 1980 to 2000, the Camel Trophy was a showcase for Land Rover's legendary off-road capability in treks over some of the toughest terrain on the planet. Now Land Rover is returning to that legacy with the Defender Trophy Edition, an uprated SUV that comes with an invitation to compete in a one-day off-road adventure. Based on the Defender 110 P400 X-Dynamic SE, the Defender Trophy comes wrapped in classic Sandglow beige with black hood, roof, and Land Rover Trophy logo. A roof rack with retractable ladder, heavy-duty skid plates, and integrated air compressor offer protection on the trails. 220 Defender Trophies will be made for the US market, each one with the chance for a two-person team to join the U.S. Trophy Competition in Ashville, NC, with the winner going to Eastnor Castle in the UK for another off-road competition.
