Lebond x Norman Foster Natural Titanium Watch

Norman Foster, the Pritzker Prize-winning architect behind London's Gherkin, Apple Park and the Reichstag dome in Berlin, designed his first watch at 91 with the Swiss maker Lebond. A pilot with a long history of travel, he gave it a bezel that rotates both ways to track a second time zone. Foster chose Grade 5 titanium for the 38.5mm case to cut weight without losing strength. He also removed the lugs, the arms that normally hold a strap, so the case and the light grey rubber strap read as one continuous shape around the wrist. A custom blue rotor, the part that winds the watch, shows through the sapphire caseback. Each case is individually numbered.
