It was only 2018 when Looking Glass debuted its first holographic display. A technical feat, it wasn't practical for everyday use by normal people. The Portrait is. Described as a "personal" holographic display, it comes with software that can make impressive holographs out of depth-mode shots from smartphones, panning videos, standard 3D files, and LiDAR rigs. It also supports interactive experiences via Unreal Engine, as well as holographic video captured by a Microsoft Azure Kinect, Intel RealSense depth camera, or iPhone X/11/12. It can connect to a Mac or PC for full functionality or operate on its own in a slideshow mode, and is available on its own or in a creator bundle with a Kinect camera, custom stand, and photo rail.
