Matteucci Dakhla Honda NX650 Motorcycle
Marco Matteucci has worked as a photographer for over 20 years, and over 30 wildly different motorcycle builds, his eye for detail shows. Starting with a Honda NX650 Dominator dual-sport, Matteucci has created a Dakar-rally inspired bike with a dash of boxy sci-fi style. Named Dakhla after a city in the western Sahara desert, the angular tank is actually a single piece of hand-formed aluminum that incorporates a custom leather saddle and rear fender. The sharp lines extended to the cases mounted on either side at the rear, and the front fender takes the classic curve and redefines it in straight lines. The single-cylinder lunger has been rebuilt with a Wiseco piston and custom exhaust, while Beringer calipers and bespoke laser-cut wave rotors bring everything to a halt. Painted desert beige with black accents, the Dakhla looks like it was born for the dunes.
