MG Cyberster Convertible EV
MG was synonymous with the British roadster ideal for decades, with even the US showing a huge appetite for its diminutive roadsters in the '70s. While the brand began to fade in the '80s, the Miata picked up the roadster torch and has carried it throughout the world in the decades since. But the octagon badge is back, with a sleek new electric roadster due to hit roads across Europe next year. The Cyberster debuted at the 2023 Shanghai auto show, home of MG's state-controlled parent company SAIC. Measuring slightly larger than a BMW Z4, the Cyberster sports short overhangs and a steeply-sloped nose that makes for a well-proportioned roadster. MG hasn't released any details on the Cyberster, but leaked government documents point to a curb weight of 4,376 pounds with a total of 536 horsepower from a front and rear electric motor. Unfortunately, the chances of the Cyberster coming to North America are virtually zero.
