NAEV 1991 Cyber-Hummer H1 EV
Who needs a Cybertruck when one of the greatest off-road platforms of all time already exists? North American EV has just finished replacing a 1991 AM General H1's powertrain with a Tesla unit. Using Tesla battery packs and motors, NAEV claims 1,000 horsepower, a range of 300 miles, and a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds for the four-door pickup. Along with the EV benefits are the H1's legendary off-road abilities, enhanced with a suspension lift and larger tires. Inside, NAEV has refitted the interior with tablet displays, new seats, and a modern infotainment system. Options for customer builds include electronic locking differentials and a traction control system calibrated for off-road use. Conversions start at around $100,000, with a six-month waiting list.
