Three French Canadian friends opened a cafe in 2009 to help expose their city to the wide world of specialty coffees. Less than a decade later, they were roasting as well, and now have added a premium offering to their growing family of beans. These beans originate in the Las Lajas station in Costa Rica and utilize the Honey process, which modifies the drying time to create more variety with each cup. The lightly roasted beans lead to a cup that is brimming with mango aromas and flavors that include brown sugar and a touch of bubble gum. A unique drink that Nektar says is like the coffee version of natural wine.
