New Balance's XC-72 is a bold design, merging two different tread patterns that effectively split the lateral and medial sides in two. The DA1 colorway downplays the shoe's myriad textures with a black and grey suede and recycled mesh upper, split only by a stripe of off-white that extends from the tongue to the outsole, dividing the gripper and studded textures.
