Nike ACG Picklejus Trail Running Shoe

ACG named its new trail shoe after pickle juice, a home remedy some ultrarunners swear by for stopping muscle cramps mid-race, even though nobody in exercise science can fully explain why it works. Picklejus grew out of three years of conversations with big-mountain runners training around Chamonix, and it's built on GOATEK, Nike's new outsole platform, tested across more than 18,000 trail miles and delivering a 45 percent jump in wet traction and 25 percent more abrasion resistance than Nike's previous all-terrain rubber. Its midsole pairs two ZoomX foam densities in a single co-molded platform, Nike's first built specifically for trail running, with a soft core for cushioning and a firmer outer ring that acts like a built-in stability plate. The Flyknit upper uses hydrophobic yarns to shed water and a gaiter-style cuff to keep debris out, the product of 10 research studies, 20 prototypes, and testing by more than 100 athletes.
