Nike's FlyEase program has been employed in more than 20 footwear styles across basketball, running, and sportswear, with the goal of making shoes easier for everyone. The Go FlyEase may be the pinnacle of this idea. It uses a bi-stable hinge that allows it to be secure in both fully open and fully closed states, along with a tensioner to help power the movement between the two states. The result is an entirely hands-free experience. To put them on, the wearer simply steps into the shoe; a step on the rear "tail" activates the tensioner, letting them step easily out when it's time to take them off. The shoe is currently available via invite for select Nike members and is slated for a broader release later this year.
