Creating a great portable grill and smoker is harder than just shrinking down an existing design. Nomad's entry to the market was built from the ground up to be as versatile and portable as possible. Multi-layer construction keeps the temperature of the exterior low, letting it sit on a variety of surfaces. That same cast aluminum exterior is anodized to protect against corrosion and holds ultralight cast stainless steel grates domed for added clearance from the charcoal. Vent sliders with high-temp magnets allow for precise airflow control, and despite its small size and low (28 lb.) weight, it still offers up to 425 square inches of cooking space in grill mode with an optional second grate or 212 square inches of cooking space with the lid closed for smoking.
