Omega Speedmaster First Omega In Space Met Edition Watch

This week, Apollo's Muse: The Moon In The Age Of Photography opens at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art. To coincide with the opening of the exhibition, Omega is releasing this special edition Speedmaster with a design that follows the "First Omega in Space" worn by astronaut Wally Schirra during the Mercury Sigma 7 mission in 1962. The chronograph features a 39.7mm stainless steel case that houses Omega's caliber 1861 movement, along with a black anodized aluminum bezel, and a black varnished dial. Two straps come with the Speedy: a brown leather one with beige stitching and a stainless steel buckle, and a MET signature red and white NATO strap with The Met's logo engraved on the loop. Limited to 100 pieces, each watch is presented in a co-branded gift box and can be purchased at the Omega Boutique on Fifth Avenue in New York City, The Met Store, and online.
