Pollution Pods

Get acquainted with pollution from around the world in the latest installation from Michael Pinksy. Located at London's Somerset House, the artist recreated environments from some of the most contaminated cities on the globe throughout five geodesic domes. The first pod simulates the pure, crisp air of Tautra island in Norway. As guests travel through the exhibit, the atmospheres change, replicating the tainted conditions found in London, New Delhi, Beijing, and São Paulo. He even went as far as to duplicate hazy smogs and the scent of Living Diesel. The Pollution Pods were commissioned by Norwegian University of Science and Technology in an effort to raise awareness about climate change.
