Porsche 411 Concept

Porsche's attitude towards the 911 has been one of evolutionary change rather than revolutionary. Every 911 has strong design cues that make it immediately recognizable, no matter how new or old it is. Hussain Almossawi and Marin Myftiu are looking to change that with their Porsche 411 concept that drastically departs from what we know as a 911. The 411 is made for a world where autonomous driving is the norm, not the exception, allowing for a reduction in the heavy crash structures and safety systems required on modern vehicles. This allows for the heavily aero-focused lines and reduced battery size, resulting in less weight and better efficiency. The interior appears as nearly a single unbroken surface, with the seats, console, and dash all blending into one another to envelop the driver and passenger. Obviously a long way from production, the 411 points towards an exciting future in transportation.
