Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport
75 years of Porsche, 60 years of the 911 -- we all know that Rennsport Reunion 7 had to be a special event. Taking place at the Laguna Seca racetrack in Monterey, California, Porsche debuted the 911 GT3 R at the event, a single-seat, track-only version of the GT3 R that debuted earlier in 2023. With its track-only mission, the GT3 R's exterior has been designed for downforce. Style Porsche penned the lines, retaining only the hood and roof from the GT3 R, resculpting the body, and adding a new front and rear fascias, the latter topped with a massive rear wing. The interior has been stripped down but includes displays for the digital mirror system, carbon fiber trim, and an FIA-legal roll cage. Power comes from the same naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six as in the GT3 R, but massaged for an extra 54 horsepower, making 611 at 9,000 RPMs through a sequential six-speed gearbox. Suspension upgrades include five-way adjustable racing shock absorbers and an aluminum monoblock AP racing braking system. The 911 GT3 R Rennsport wil be limited to 77 units.
