Porsche 928 Monolite Project
Mexican driver and customizer Fercho Urquiza has turned Porsche's 928 grand tourer into a highly modified rally car. The Porsche 928 Monolite Project started with a 928 S, which Urquiza spent two years fabricating much of the custom parts by hand. The roof rack and winch-equipped brush bar are both custom-made, with the rear hatch converted to a bed to carry two spare tires. The front and rear fenders have been flared to cover the taller, wider tires, and quarter-inch skid plated now protect critical driveline elements. Inside are racing seats with five-point harnesses, a roll cage, and a flocked dash. The sound system competes with a custom titanium exhaust for aural satisfaction.
