Puffer Inflatable Tent
The Puffer is an inflatable tent with a floor that doubles as a mattress. Three air arches form the tent's frame, and a separate air chamber built into the floor transforms into an adjustable sleeping surface, both powered by the included electric pump in about two minutes. Valves control the base and the arches independently, with pressure settings from 0.8 psi for a soft feel up to 5 psi for something closer to a firm mattress. Big enough to sleep two people with space for gear, the tent packs down to a roll about the size of a full-size hiking backpack. Fully loaded with the pump, bag, and stakes, it weighs 22 pounds, more than a typical backpacking tent but reasonable for car-camping.
