Rajeev Basu Dog Delivery Jacket
The COVID pandemic has more people avoiding public areas and opting to have groceries delivered to their homes, resulting in a surplus of unused delivery bags. In response, Rajeev Basu is upcycling those insulated grocery sacks into chic dog jackets. The metallic coat is handmade in New York and features a stylish cropped body, tailored fit, and the original packing labels. Its repurposed material also makes the jacket waterproof. Modeled by his dog Remy, the piece is made under the creative director's "Between Two Naps." The collaborative produces experimental K-9 fashions inspired by the sleepy Chiweenie and already includes a line of avant-garde padded helmets.
