Tesla is protecting your pooch and your ride with the introduction of Dog Mode. The pet-friendly update will keep your furry friends comfortable when the weather heats up. If you leave the car, switch the climate control to "Dog" and pick a preset temperature. The cabin will remain cool to keep your pup from overheating while you're away. The interior's display shows the internal temp and lets any passers-by know that you'll be returning to the vehicle soon, preventing calls to the authorities and busted windows during rescue attempts. Although it'll give you greater peace of mind, it's still necessary to follow your local laws on unattended pets. The software update also comes with a security upgrade called Sentry Mode and is currently available for the Model 3.
