Range Rover Pre-Runner Concept

Range Rover emphasizes the luxury aspect of its SUVs as much as the off-road capability, but designer Khyzyl Saleem has thrown out creature comforts in favor of a rally raid-ready pre-runner. Saleem's concept drapes carbon fiber Range Rover SV bodywork over a tube frame chassis, modeled in Autodesk's 3DS Max from CAD data of a real pre-runner frame. The next radical change is engine placement. While Saleem didn't specify what engine his concept would use, the chassis carries the engine in a mid-mounted position — a far cry from the stock SV's standard front-engined layout. Saleem's work is featured in Hagerty's Rendered series, available on their YouTube channel.
