Redarc Off-Grid Toyota Tacoma Truck
Redarc brings power to the most remote locations in Australia, providing power generation solutions to everything from industrial mining operations to off-road vehicles. To show American audiences what Redarc can do, they've outfitted a Toyota Tacoma with their equipment capable of operating completely off the grid. The pickup bed was ditched for an aluminum flatbed and composite storage box. Inside the box are two 120Ah lithium batteries controlled by a Redarc Manager30 system, allowing for charging from the Tacoma's alternator, rooftop solar panels, or external power source. Those batteries power an air compressor, refrigerator, and 2,000-watt inverter that puts out a 110-volt AC supply for household appliances. All of this can be controlled via Redarc's RedVision system via color displays or the smartphone app. The Tacoma has been outfitted to get far enough awy to make use of all the equipment, with rooftop tent, 1.5-inch lift, and Warn winch.
