With a streamlined, crown-free design, Ressence's Type 1 has always been a minimalist watch. Their latest collaboration with Hodinkee takes this idea further. The Type 1 Slim has a 42mm case that's just 11mm thick — down from 13mm in the original — and milled from a single block of lightweight grade 5 titanium. Further weight reduction comes in the form of a grey honeycomb skeletonized dial that allows for views of the Automatic ROCS 1.3 movement within. The signature rotating dials are set using a level recessed into the caseback, and its concave, rather than convex, profile improves wearability. Limited to just 20 examples, it sits on a grey honeycomb textile strap.
