Rivian x Nike ACG R1T Recharge Truck
Rivian's Special Projects division, the same team behind the ambulance built for Grey's Anatomy and the Ben & Jerry's ice cream truck, turned a Rivian R1T into a mobile aid station for ultrarunners. At the tailgate, twin slushie machines serve Coca-Cola and a mango-pickle blend developed by Nike nutritionists, alongside ice bins for both drinking water and pressing against overheated skin, and a snack rack built into the truck's storage. Overhead, a 360-degree canopy made from a recycled polyester used in Nike ACG's racing apparel accelerates airflow to cool the ground beneath it, and the whole rig folds down without tools to pack back onto the truck. A support fleet of additional trucks and SUVs rounds out the operation, handling everything from a misting corridor to blister triage.
