Rolex Four Seasons Cosmograph Daytona Collection
Rolex doesn't typically make one-of-a-kind watches, but for Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio, they are releasing four unique Cosmograph Daytonas. Every dollar from the auction is split between the Federer Foundation and DiCaprio's environmental group, Re:wild. The plan almost went a different way entirely: Rolex first intended to sell all four together, privately, to one collector for roughly 4 million Swiss francs. Retailers pushed back, insisting more than 1,000 people would want a shot at bidding, and the watches ended up at Phillips instead. Each one carries its own season in stone and gem: Spring in white gold with a chrysoprase dial and purple sapphires, Summer in Everose gold with turquoise and pink sapphires, Autumn in yellow gold with mookaite and green tourmalines, Winter in platinum with blue opal and a sapphire gradient that shifts from blue to fuchsia. All four share the same in-house Caliber 4131, a roughly 72-hour power reserve, Superlative Chronometer certification, and 54 brilliant-cut diamonds set into the lugs and crown guards.
