Runge RS
Chris Runge's handbuilt masterpieces recall the small, light race cars of the 1950s, mining the inspirational vein of Porsche's Spyder and racers from Jaguar and Lister. His latest creation is the RS, featuring coachwork made the traditional way — hammered over bucks and shaped with an English wheel. Accented with functional louvers, the RS strikes a balance between classic Italian and German race cars. Underneath the polished aluminum bodywork is an aluminum tube-frame chassis and mid-mounted, air-cooled, 159 horsepower flat-four engine. The interior is trimmed in brown leather with classic racing bucket seats, essential gauges, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Each Runge is a one-off modern classic like nothing else on the market today.
