Russell Built Porsche 911 Safari Kit

There are two kinds of 911 Safari builds in the world — those that look like the real thing and those that are the real thing. Russell Built Fabrication's 911 Safari kit for the 964 generation is definitely the latter, turning your 911 into a Baja-ready beast ready to take on the desert. The track has been widened 14 inches and the wheelbase three inches over stock. Custom shock towers, upper A-arms, and spindles are added, with all modifications using the factory mount points to preserve the original suspension geometry. In addition to the increased track and wheelbase, an amazing 13.5 inches of suspension travel are added. The body uses hand-formed composite panels with a painstaking eye towards mimicking something that might have come from Stuttgart in-period. Total weight has been reduced over 400 pounds with a curb weight of 2800 pounds in full-luxury spec. A 3.8-liter flat-six designed by Rothsport Racing makes 365 horsepower and 310 ft-lb of torque, with two- or four-wheel-drive available. With options ranging from stripped-down racer to daily driver, this is the best 911 Safari you can get.
