Using recycled materials to make a product is great, but end of use considerations need to be factored in for true sustainability. Such is the case with Salomon's Index.01 sneaker. The upper is crafted from recycled polyester and the bottom from TPU. By removing the insole, the two units can be separated, with the bottom used to make Salomon ski boots and the upper reused to create fabric. The TPU base also offers plenty of energy return, while the rocker-like R.Camber geometry propels the wearer forward.
