Salomon Recyclable Running Shoe Concept

Part of the company's commitment to sustainability, Salomon's recyclable concept running shoe is surely a step in the right direction. Unlike most shoes, which are made from several materials, these are made entirely from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), allowing them to be ground down at the end of their useful life and combined with fresh TPU to create an alpine ski boot shell. While it's just a concept, the company's footwear team is working to incorporate elements of the concept in a consumer-facing model that will be available by 2021.
