Sam Snead's 1949 Masters Tournament Trophy

The original Masters trophy weighs 130 pounds and sits on a four-foot-wide base. As such, it doesn't leave Augusta National — but starting in 1993, the tournament started awarding the winner with a more manageably-sized replica, and allowed any past champions to purchase one of their own. Among the handful who took them up on the offer was Sam Snead, who purchased this replica to commemorate his 1949 victory, which was coincidentally also the same year the victor received the traditional green jacket. Like the original, it features a three-dimensional recreation of the clubhouse in sterling silver set atop a wooden base, the latter of which is engraved with the year, Snead's name, and his total score of 282. One of very few ever likely to come to auction, it's being offered by Golden Age and arrives with a Letter of Provenance from Sam Snead's Son, Jack.
