Flip phones were strangely satisfying. For several generations now, Samsung has attempted to recreate them for modern times with the Galaxy Z Flip. The fourth iteration is the most refined yet. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, it has plenty of other small upgrades, including a stronger 6.7-inch folding main screen, a slimmer hinge, more useful cover screen, larger sensor for the 12-megapixel main camera, and bigger battery. The slight upgrades may be disappointing for those looking to upgrade from the Flip 3, but for most, they represent a maturation level that might make future folding designs a viable option.
